Swan brings glamour & cocktails to Miami’s Design District!

If you’re familiar with Miami then you know how LIV and Story transformed nightlife and the way we party in Miami.  All that was the brainchild of Dave Grutman.  He was even credited by Rolling Stone as one of the most important people in electronic music.

Dave ventured into the food and beverage world with Groot Hospitality and the openings of Planta and Komodo which have become staples in Miami’s culinary world.  At first, critics questioned his entrance into restaurants but his attention to detail led him to quick success. With that, Dave partnered with his friend Pharell Williams (his first restaurant) to bring Swan & Bar Bevy to Miami’s Design District.  Chef Jean Imbert (Top Chef Europe) brings European influences to your plate with creative dishes.  The cocktails are also perfect for Miami’s tropical weather. Here are our favorites.

FRESH
Grey Goose Vodka, Cucumber, Lychee, Grape, Citrus

Spirited Miami’s (SM) take:  The name says it all.  Fresh!  We love the combination of cucumber, lychee and grape.  One we haven’t seen before.

FLOWERS
Benvolio Prosecco, St. Germain, Rose, Lavender

SM’s take:  Another stunner, this one matches the decor.  Love the floral notes with elderflower on this low ABV sipper.  This one has brunch written all over it.

Mon Chéri
Cherry-infused Buffalo Trace bourbon, Vanilla, Angostura Bitters, White Chocolate

SM’s take:  If Old-fashioned are your thing than this is perfect for you.  There is not one ingredient that overtakes another.  The cherry and chocolate are best friends in this chocolate covered cherry of a cocktail.  I’ll have another please!

Aurelia
Ford’s Gin, Luxardo Limoncello, Apple, Basil, Thyme, Lemon

SM’s take:  The botanicals in the gin are a perfect match for the basil and thyme.  This herbaceous yet delicate cocktail is perfectly balanced with hints of apple that don’t take over.  Perfect with spicy food.

There you have it folks, Swan is a welcome addition to the growing list of restaurants in Design District.  Food, cocktails and service are great.  Stop in for lunch or for dinner.  They also have an upstairs lounge called Bar Bevy where you can continue sipping even after dinner.
