Surfside’s lush eatery, The Surf Club Restaurant, by mega-chef Thomas Keller has gained a stellar reputation for its decadent, table-side prepared dishes like beef Wellington, Caesar Salad and Dover Sole Meunière. But make sure to not get too full, because there are also plenty of desserts that shouldn’t be missed.
The dessert menu keeps with the throwback feeling of the restaurant — but in the best possible way. The menu created by pastry chef Julie Kurz is filled with dishes like Coconut Chiffon Cake topped with lime zest and a sprinkle of Maldon salt; Nicaraguan Dark Chocolate Layer Cake; and Keller’s favorite Lemon Tart made with a vanilla sucre crust, filled with fresh lemon curd, and surrounded by raspberry sabayon and topped with toasted meringue.
Other favorites like a classic New York Cheesecake and a decadent Ice Cream Sundae assembled tableside with a cornucopia of topping rounds out the menu. Give the restaurant a try for yourself — and make sure you leave room for dessert.
