Seems like only yesterday that Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta along with Chef James Seyba opened the doors to their new home, 27 Restaurant & Bar. Now they launched a weekend brunch from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., where you can try dishes like the Egg “MacShaker” with house squealer burger, fried egg, bourbon mustard on an english muffin; Malawach with yemenite bread, harriff, feta, hardboiled egg; Latkes Benedict with duck pastrami, poached egg and russian hollandaise or the big boy plate – Bandeja Paisa with chicharones, black bean, arroz blanco, fried egg, ahi, ropa vieja, maduros.
We tried every single thing on the menu except for the Cast-Iron Cinnamon Roll which was sadly sold out. Make sure to bring your besties so you can do the same and order one asap. Who says dessert can’t be an appetizer?
And it wouldn’t be Broken Shaker without cocktails. All were $11 and we wouldn’t disappoint you guys if we didn’t try them all as well. Our faves included a Smokey Margarita with chili reduction, fresh lime, Ancho Reyes, Del Maguey Vida; the Brunchy Spritz with passion fruit, Aperol, Bombay Dry Gin, hopped grapefruit bitters, cava to the perfect start or end – Miso Honey Cold Brew made with a miso honey reduction, Panther cold brew, local coconuts, and Amaro Averna.
Check out some of the tasty dishes, drinks and start planning your weekend brunch right now.
