First Look at “Taco Belly”

The rumor mill has been buzzing for almost a year that the guys at The Pubbelly Group had plans to open up a taqueria. We all hoped the rumor would be true and we are happy to announce that it is. Beginning Wednesday, July 3, “Taco Belly” – a Cantina Lunch Pop-Up – will take over PB Steak weekdays from noon – 4 p.m. through the end of August.

A taqueria is a natural fit for Executive Chef Jose Mendin who not only opened Mercadito in Midtown Miami but also its Chicago location before joining forces with his Pubbelly partners. The “Taco Belly” menu includes a wide variety of unique tacos using homemade tortillas, salsas and other fresh ingredients. And of course it wouldn’t be a Pubbelly venture without the pig so expect to see PB Steak’s housemade bacon featured in dishes such as “Tostada de Bacon” and “Tacos de Cochinillo.” Wash all it down with a margarita made from our favorite bar babe, Ashley Danella, and you’ve got the recipe for the delicious summertime meal.

So the question is “Are You A MexiCAN or A MexiCAN’T?
