As owner Carlos Centurion puts it, the Spanish word “bulla” carries with it connotations of fun, excitement, emotion, and liveliness, and that’s just what you’ll find at his Coral Gables gastrobar.
Chat Chow TV sat down with the owner at his new, bustling Spanish eatery for a very proper gin and tonic (watch the video above to see why it’s so proper).
Bulla (appropriately pronounced “boo-ya”) stands in what many will remember was Por Fin’s old spot, but Centurion wanted to spice things up a bit.
“I always loved Por Fin, but at the same time I think when people think of Spanish food, they think of something more fun, more casual and obviously tapas is something that everyone associates with Spanish food,” Centurion explains. “[We] brought the bar downstairs, made it more casual, took off the tablecloths and this is what you get.”
Well, we’re not complaining. Check out Bulla’s charcuterie, with a selection of seven different cheeses and seven salty, mouthwatering meats, all Spanish (think Salchichon, Butifarra, and Jamon De Bellota). Choose from 20 tapas, and deliciously decadent dishes like Huevos Bulla (with homemade potato chips, potato foam, organic fried egg, and Serrano ham), croquettas, seared cuttlefish, oxtail stew, and juicy rib eye.
In the vein of fun, Bulla offers one serious happy hour every day of the week (yes, including Saturdays and Sundays)—beer, sherries, bottles of wine, house liquors, you name it. In another unique twist, guests can saddle up to the open kitchen seating and watch the masters at work. And that’s exactly where you’ll find us.

What a crock. This place is so organized. Called to book a party and that should have been my first sign this would a disaster. Tried to book a corporate party of 35. Waste of time and energy.
They made it zero user-friendly and NO ONE GETS BACK TO YOU.
Just MOVE away from these people. Been submitting and calling.. Sixty Wine Blue on Park just easier to work with.
