In the last few years, Wynwood has evolved from an underground arts district to a food and culture destination. One of the newest concepts in the neighborhood’s award-winning dining scene is Le Chick Rotisserie, a fast-casual spot by Coco Coig and Jorge Sanchez.
The lunch menu offers comfort food staples with a twist by Chef Victoria Dell’Ooca. We tried the peppery and crispy Buttermilk Fried Chicken—a must-have—served with a spicy maple syrup and homemade ranch sauce, and the Royale with Cheese, two beef patties with a tangy “secret sauce” and house-made pickles. To complete the food pyramid, we ordered the Orange and Beetroot Salad with whipped goat cheese and a pecan crunch.
Save room for dessert, specifically for the Chocolate Goodie Jar, a dark chocolate cake covered in piping hot chocolate fudge with Gelatte vanilla ice cream.
You can get their comfort food classics for lunch, dinner and late-night along with a full bar serving craft cocktails by Nicholas Alves. We didn’t try its namesake menu item—Rotisserie Chicken, seasoned with herbs and spices, cooked and then smoked for hours—but our experience will definitely have us coming back for this and more.
