Gregory’s Brings an Updated Modern Charm to the Classic Diner

The team behind one of our all-time favorite Miami eateries, Mandolin, has done it again with its new all-day diner Gregory’s in the Upper East Side. Housed in the Vagabond Hotel, this all-day diner offers updated takes on classic Americana cuisine with influences from the owner’s own upbringing and we got a taste of its weekend brunch menu.

We started the meal with the Heritage Eggs that is served with a choice of bacon, sausage or ham, gravlax, or even a 12 oz. prime NY strip steak along with a Zucchini Pancake made with greek garlic yogurt and fresh herbs. Another egg highlight was the Poached Eggs with Garlic Yogurt made with burnt butter aleppo and baguette soldiers. Finally, we had the Hobo Sandwich, a sweet and savory take on an egg-sandwich made with fried eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, and maple syrup on house-made english muffin.

We washed back all that egg-goodness with a few of the brunch cocktails including the Breakfast Martini with Gem+Bolt Mezcal, Combier, Yuzu, Orange Marmalade, and Lemon along with the an updated take on the Salty Dog made with Wheatley Vodka, Fluffy Grapefruit Juice, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, and Salt.

Don’t miss a chance to try out this new take on a diner brunch — which is offered daily! — the next time you get a chance. Until then, take in the mouthwatering pics below.
