Last month Radio Bar launched its first ever hands-on mixology class. The class themes rotate each month and February’s theme was “The Art of the Tiki,” hosted by Flor de Cana rum’s Alex Alfonso and Radio’s bartender Teddy Collins.
During the class, guests learned how to make two classic tiki cocktails — a Hand Shaken Daiquiri and Mai Tai — along with learning the history behind them. After the class, attendees got to take home including a tiki mug, a bottle of homemade orgeat syrup (almond syrup commonly used in Mai Tais), a t-shirt, and two recipe cards.
The next class will be on Thursday, March 19 from 7:00 – 8:00pm. and is themed “Bourbon with Woodford Reserve”. You can reserve your spot here. In the meantime, check out images below taken during the first class.
