GK Bistronomie Brings The Flavors of Peru to Wynwood

Miami certainly has had its influx of Peruvian restaurants come to the city in recent years, but the latest addition to that lineup, GK Bistronomie, sets itself apart from the pack. Helmed by acclaimed chef and partner, Rafael Perez, a 20 year industry vet who has worked at highly-esteemed restaurants around the world like Ecudaor’s Zazu Restaurant and The Little Palm Island Resort & Spa in Little Torch Key.

The restaurant offers globally inspired Peruvian cuisine and an impressive cocktail menu in a sleek and stylish setting. The beautiful dining room features an exhibition style kitchen, white pine tables, and a unique indoor-outdoor bar made of black granite and iron.

For our meal we got to try a little bit of everything. Starting with the Peruvian inspired ceviches and tiraditos with standout dishes including the Peruvian Yellow Chili Pepper, Parmesan Grouper and the Cherrywood Smoked Shrimp. For heartier appetizers it features a unique blend of traditional Peruvian dishes with a twist like Empanadas filled with foie gras and caramelized onions and Skirt Steak Anticuchos with chiminchui, with main dishes filled with seafood like Seared Scallops with a corn puree and Grilled Octopus.

Drinks aren’t to be missed either. The cocktail program features a unique selection of handcraft Pisco infusions, featuring sours and chicanos. The bar is also complete with classic cocktails, handcraft beers and a well thought out wine list. Read more about it in detail here at SpiritedMiami.com.
