Apeiro Kitchen & Bar Showcases Mediterranean Eats in Midtown [CLOSED]

Apeiro Kitchen & Bar, the Mediterranean restaurant and bar from chef and co-owner David Blonsky, opened in Delray earlier this year and was quickly received by locals and critics, so when it opened its outpost in Midtown Miami recently, we knew we had to go check it out.

The menu features dishes from all over the Mediterranean from Morocco and Italy to Greece and Spain. The rather extensive menu is broken down into several sections – Small Plates, Soups, Crudo, Salads, Sandwiches, Flatbreads, Grilled & Roasted, Housemade Pasta and Kabobs. Some highlights of the meal included the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Ribs with rosemary-fig BBQ sauce and pistachio yogurt; the Apeiro Spread Platter with hummus, eggplant caponata, pistachio yogurt, and freshly made house baked pita; the Prime Rib Gyro, a spin off the classic with spiced lamb and prime rib off the rotisserie, tzatziki sauce, onion, tomato and shredded romaine; the Moroccan Chicken Wings; Grilled Spanish Octopus with crispy potato, red chili, celery, smoked pepper aioli; and Smashed Beets Salad with local ricotta, pickled radish, baby arugula, candied walnut and truffle-beet vinaigrette.

The massive 6,000-square-foot restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and certainly keeps the Mediterranean theme alive with hand-painted Mediterranean tile and solid wood, stained tabletops, and a large circular bar serving as the centerpiece of the space.
